Most recently, Anthony qualified for and went on to win the “Hawaii Double” which is the fastest combined time of both the Ironman wolrd championships in Kona, and the XTERRA World Championships in Maui. He has qualified and raced in every XTERRA world championship since 2002, a member and ambassador for TEAM XTERRA since 2003. A 5 X XTERRA regional champion, and 3X USAT All American. His accolades for the swim, bike and run include; Mountain bike racing, criterium racing, time trials, stage racing, NYC marathon, Cow Harbor, LI half and full Marathon, OWS and the Maggie Fischer cross bay. He is a member of the USA triathlon team, and he has coached age groupers, and professional triathletes all over the world. His outlook on coaching is unique to his personality, and he just makes you work harder, train smarter, and race faster. His attention to detail is only surpassed to the level of attention he gives his athletes. In the world of elite coaches, Anthony is a force to be reckoned with both on and off the race course.
Rick has raced in at least 9 states including California and Arizona, but his story begins in 2003. Rick started riding a mountain bike chasing roadies around Central Park in NYC in 2003 after his first of many firings from radio stations across the country. He bought his first road bike, a Trek 2300, in Philadelphia in 2004 and did his first race. He considers this his first win since he didn't crash and finished with the group. Later in 2004 he moved back to NYC, (by way of Hoboken) and raced for Strictly Bicycles out of Ft. Lee. I know....NEW JERSEY?!?!? Another firing led him to San Francisco where the road passion consumed him....and his wallet. (He bought 4 more bikes that year) Spent 3 years riding and racing all over California, Arizona and Nevada for Team Roaring Mouse out of San Francisco, racing 47 races in 2006 alone. His California highlight came in 2007 with a 10th place finish at the Master Criterium Championships at elevation against the some of the best Masters racers in California. He would also venture home a few times a year to clobber Long Islanders with his new found climbing legs. 2008 led him back to LI, where he lost his climbing legs and raced on and off, losing nearly 2 seasons to injury and racing Strictly again and then for NYC based Setanta. In 2011 he found himself in Miami, Florida. That was fun because it was WARM and had his BEST WINTER EVER because he only needed arm warmers TWICE! 2012 led him back to Long Island....spot a trend yet?? June 2012 joined Team Carl Hart and it's been a match made in heaven ever since
